“UVEAL MELANOMA”

This is the most common ocular tumour in adults. It arises from the choroid. For tumours >12 mm, the mortality is 70%.

•  Cottage loaf’ appearance

CT

•  Hyperdense mass
•  Nearly always unilateral
•  Check for liver metastases

MRI

•  High signal on T1 (due to melanin), low on T2
